Overview

The School of Health, at the Setubal Polytechnic University, was established in March 2000 (Diário da República n 61/2000, Série I-A de 13/03/2000) and initiated its activity on the 6^th of November of that same year. It thrives for recognition, based on the quality of its educational programmes, research and community linked projects. It aims to be a positive reference in the education of health professionals, through a humanistic approach, technical and scientific development, both ethically and culturally sensitive. It is guided by a culture of continuous improvement through which strengthens its ability to respond to constant challenges and change. The health of the individuals and populations, and a holistic view on professional practice are the focus for its national and international led research.
