Paediatric Rehabilitation

This International Programme focuses on ‘Paediatric rehabilitation’ as a central theme. During the course we focus on the different aspects of the early childhood and development, the clinical interventions and the rehabilitation of children within the setting of the hospital, but also on the inclusion of clients within the family, school and society.

The following are Key areas of Study: Early childhood development; Assessment; Clinical interventions & rehabilitation of children within the acute hospital; Inclusion/integration of clients in the society.

At the end of the course the STUDENT should demonstrate:

  • Advanced Knowledge and understanding of the different aspects of early childhood development;
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of common clinical pediatric conditions in acute settings;
  • Ability to create innovative and socially adequate responses to specific health problems of specific children;
  • Ability to plan client focused strategies;
  • In-depth reflection of their learning experience;
  • Strategies to transfer this learning experience into their own reality.

The international module is validated with 3 ECTS-credits. The workload of the six days intensive programme is estimated on 108 hours.

All participants receive a ‘transcript of record’ at the end of the course. The certificate gives the ECTS-credits and the ECTS-grades. Students can transfer the credits to their curriculum or can add this to their portfolio. The process of accreditation of these credits is the responsibility of the home institution.
